Prehospital Care Reports
Prehospital care reports are required of all agencies to properly transfer care to medical personnel up the line from first-responder to hospital staff. Many fire departments that are first on scene for medical incidents must begin this process. Unfortunately most pre-hospital care reports (PCR) are bulky and often contain spaces for information that is not needed for a fire responding fire department. Additionally, a duplicate copy is needed so that after a copy is provided to the transporting agency and/or emergency room the fire department medical personnel also have a copy for their report.
